Quinns Bar Grill & Guesthouse, Garristown, Dublin
This project marked the exciting re-opening of a beloved bar, freshly transformed after a thoughtful renovation. The brief was simple yet inspiring: create a strong connection to Ireland while keeping the space elegant and unique.
To bring this vision to life, I hand-painted all of the lettering on the bulkheads using traditional gold leaf. The result is a luxurious, eye-catching finish that elevates the space with subtle sophistication and timeless charm.
The bar’s owner requested a few carefully chosen words and phrases as Gaeilge, which we paired with a beautifully intricate Celtic knot design, an homage to Irish heritage and artistry.
In the hallway leading to the boutique bedrooms, we continued the theme of elegance with a hand-painted palm leaf motif, again using gold leaf to bring a refined, luminous glow to the walls.
The new décor is truly beautiful, and the use of gold leaf played a key role in achieving this effect. Known for its ability to highlight detail, reflect light, and evoke a sense of grandeur, gold leaf transforms the ordinary into something unforgettable.
If you’re looking to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece that is both elegant and timeless, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s bring your space to life with a touch of gold.
