My mural art process

When I create a mural, I use a mix of traditional and modern techniques to bring each piece to life. Depending on the scale and style, I might handpaint with brushes for detailed, textured work or use spray paint for smooth gradients and bold color. To get the design onto the wall, I often rely on a few tried-and-true methods. The grid method helps me scale up artwork accurately by dividing both the sketch and wall into matching squares. For a more freestyle approach, I sometimes use the doodle grid method—covering the wall with random doodles or symbols and using them as reference points to map out the design. I also use the pounce method for classic-style murals, where I transfer a perforated paper stencil onto the wall with powdered pigment. Each mural is a balance of creativity and technique, and I choose the process that best fits the vision and the space.
